Things are not always as they appear. This sweater for the ‘tween set is not stranded work, is not slip stitches, but instead a knit manipulation of alternating background stripes between contrast stripes. A “k1, k2 rows below” sequence worked in the first row of each contrasting stripe results in a striped fabric with a grid of 3-dimensional dashes ‘tween each color stripe.
