This garment came of the realization that the second volume of The Knitting Experience needed a dead-easy piece. So, here it is, the most basic of garments—a comfort piece that can be used as a blanket when not being worn as a jacket. Having said that, there is a lot of yardage to be knit. If you just want the product (without all the hours of process), you might befriend someone with a knitting machine—on which the pieces can be produced in short order.

This garment was designed to be knit in two pieces so you wouldn’t have too much knitting in your lap. And it is knit side to side so the stripes are vertical.
