My first version of the Einstein coat was actually knit a newborn size — a tiny little mock up to see if it worked. But the heavier yarn was not soft enough for a baby, so this lighter-weight coat evolved. I finished the baby coat and thought, "How cute is that?! Where can we go from here?"
